We recently received this note from Tom Neglio, Cindy's husband:

To whom it may concern,

I'm sending this e-mail to you to confirm the information about Cynthia. It is true, she did pass away on July 28th 2005 of breast cancer that she fought with all of her mind, body, soul, spirit, and her faith in God. She was a very strong and beautiful women right up to her last breath on that day. She battled this horrible disease for two years with all her strength but it got the better of her and not to suffer anymore God took her home. I  was by her side from the day she was told about the cancer to the day she died. I held her hand that day told her I will always love her and carry her in my heart forever. She left us way to soon but she also left a big impact on me and all that she was around. She will always be remembered for the kind unselfish loving person that she was. I thank you for remembering her and for those she new from class of 1979. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends and especially me.

Thank you once again
Tom Neglio
Her loving husband

I learned from this site a couple of years ago that Cindy had died, and I wondered what happened.  I was glad to read the lovely message from her husband.  It sounds like she accomplished a lot during her life, doing what she truly wanted to do.  We were especially good friends in eighth grade, and for some reason I have a vivid memory of her laughing in science class.  She was fun.  She was beautiful, in every sense of the word.
