Gregory W. Gardiner, 51, of Burlington, beloved husband of Diane D. Gardiner, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Thursday, (February 16, 2012) at home surrounded by his family. Born in Cincinnati, OH, son of Nancy (Huber) Gardiner of Cincinnati and the late Wayne E. Gardiner, he was raised there and received his BA in Economics from the University of Cincinnati. He currently held the CPCA professional designation. Greg began his career with the Aetna Insurance Company and currently was Bond Manager for the Travelers Insurance Company, Hartford. He and his family lived in Burlington for the past 18 years and attended Valley Community Baptist Church, Avon. The consummate professional, he was known for his integrity and strong character. A devoted family man, he truly enjoyed spending time with his wife and children whether on their boat, snow skiing, playing board games, or just listening to music. Besides his wife of 28 years Diane (King) Gardiner and his mother, Nancy; he leaves his son, Dylan, and daughters, Kelsey, Nicole M., and Abigail M. Gardiner; his brother, Timothy Gardiner and his wife Julie of Denver, CO, a sister, Cindy Baacki and her husband Brian of Westerville, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

I have many great memories of Greg in school and it was such a shock to hear of his passing.  I spoke with his brother Tim, and he has asked that we remember Dee Dee and their children in prayer.
